Greeters

These outgoing and dedicated individuals are St. Martin's front line in our ministry of hospitality, welcoming visitors and offering assistance and information. Volunteers usually serve on a monthly rotation at each of the main Sunday worship services and are available for special events. Contact Marge Reue at 789-9675.

Acolytes

All worship services rely on the members of the acolytes who enhance the ritual of the liturgy. Acolytes carry the cross, torches, and banners in procession and at the reading of the Gospel. Acolytes also assist the ordained ministers at the altar as servers delivering the elements for the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist. While most acolytes are Confirmation candidates, all are welcome, including adults! Contact Pr. June at 476-6757 or jwilkins@saintmartins.org.

Assisting Ministers

Open to High School students and up, this group of trained persons assists the clergy in celebrating the Sacraments and serves as the primary voice of the people in the leading of prayers. Contact Deb Johnson at 231-0724.

Eucharistic Ministers

Eucharistic Ministers are trained persons who assist in administering the wine of Holy Communion. Children, youth, adults, singles and families are welcome to participate. Contact Judy Seymore at 303-5677.

Lectors

Members of the Lectors Guild are responsible for the Old Testament and New Testament readings at the Saturday and Sunday services. They also participate in special services at Christmas and during Holy Week, including the reading of the Passion Gospel and the readings at the Great Vigil. Auditions are conducted periodically during the year. This is open to children and adults. Contact Nancy Mueller at 476-3357.

Ushers

Open to Jr. High students through adults, this group of trained persons assists to facilitate worship. It is not a behind the scenes job. You interact directly, on a personal basis, with all the worshippers each time you serve. At all services, ushers welcome worshippers, pass out bulletins, receive our offerings, guide people during communion distribution, and straighten up afterward. Ushers are helpful and friendly with the strength to stand for several hours. Volunteers sign up for a rotation, and all are asked to be on hand for major worship services such as Christmas and Easter. Contact Norman Hummell at 837-3431.

Sound Technicians

Open to women and men, High School students and up, this group of trained persons assist with sound issues for worship and other congregational events. Contact Zack Swenson at 836-2727.

Hospitality

These outgoing and dedicated individuals are St. Martin's last impression in our ministry of hospitality, thanking worshippers for being present and offering assistance and information. Volunteers usually serve on a monthly rotation at the conclusion of the 11 a.m. Sunday Eucharist and provide a small snack as people exit. Contact Scot Salmon at 323-2367.
