After volunteering with the St. Martin's youth program for 3 years, I accepted a call to lead the youth program. With the support of my husband, my two elementary kids and the St. Martin's community, I feel very honored and excited to work with the youth in growing their faith and providing a supportive, caring and fun community.

I've been a writer and editor in Austin for almost 20 years. In addition to my work at St. Martin's, I'm a monthly contributor to The Lutheran, the national magazine of the ELCA, where I write the "Pass the Faith" parenting page and advice column. I also blog about family and faith issues on the magazine's website. I've been married to my husband Dan for 15 years, and we're the proud parents of three children.

I started working in the maintenance field more than 10 years ago as a helper to a local handyman while I was still in high school. I have since graduated from college with a BA in Missions. My wife, Alyssa Rose, and I recently had our first child, Brianna Rose. My hobbies include rock climbing and target shooting. I also do volunteer work at my church as the leader of programs for 2 to 5 year olds, and I recently become a counselor for a faith-based addictions program.
