Tapestry and Treasures: A Weaving of Texas Church Architecture and Quilts
Did you enjoy the photo exhibit recently hosted by St. Martin's? The photos are part of the Texas Church Project, depicting the growth of small towns in Texas during the 19th and early 20th Centuries. The church was often one of the first buildings in these small communities.

Quilts are created throughout the year by St. Martin's WELCA for Lutheran World Relief and New Life Children's Treatment Center and displayed at our annual ThankOffering weekend. Including the quilts this year with the photographic exhibit highlights their importance to our heritage in Texas. Additionally, the juxtaposition of the black and white or sepia photos with the vivid colors of the quilts will be visually exciting.
