Adult Faith Formation
Living as Disciples of Christ
Faith formation is foundational. As people created with spiritual needs, faith formation helps us find spiritual food. We are learning to live daily into Biblical practices:
- Cultivate spiritual depth by becoming disciples of Jesus. Disciples are people who live Jesus’ daily rhythms as our own. These rhythms include: study of scripture, prayer, rest, and community.
- Cultivate spiritual depth in our interactions by practicing Holy Listening modeled by Jesus. Holy Listening focuses on jointly discerning the wisdom and will of God. Through listening and speaking, we share both holy invitation into deeper relationship and holy challenge to turn away from wrong and destructive behaviors.
Breathe & Behold: Summer Somatic & Spiritual Practices Pilot
Tuesdays, June 23 – July 28 | 6:00 – 7:30 PM
Yoga Portion Sam Pullen.
Modern life constantly pressures us to conform to a frantic pace, insisting that our worth equals our performance. Join us on Tuesday evenings to counteract this exhaustion through a grounding blend of somatic yin yoga and historically rooted spiritual practices.
What to bring: A yoga mat and any props you’d like to use or share.
Cost: Donations are welcome.
Important Building Access Note: Our church doors are locked during the week for preschool security. Please do not tailgate or ask preschool parents to let you in. Instead, come to the glass door to the left of the main wooden church doors. A volunteer will be there to welcome you from 5:45 PM to 6:05 PM. You may park in our lot across Rio Grande St. for no charge. Enforcement will be turned off during these events.

Our goal isn’t to give you a longer to-do list; it’s to help you find the Work and Rest God intends for you among what you are already doing. Consider this article series a weekly invitation to shift from skimming to living with the intentionality of a co-creator.
