Mobile Loaves And Fishes

Mobile Loaves and Fishes is a social outreach ministry that has been empowering communities into a lifestyle of service with the homeless since 1998. Through the MLF food truck program, volunteer teams prepare and distribute meals and other life-sustaining items to neighbors who are struggling to survive. Meals are prepared at First United Methodist at 1201 Lavaca and then distributed in various neighborhood communities supported by MLF.

There are currently three SMLC teams participating in the MLF Truck Ministry on the 2nd Monday, 3rd Saturday and 4th Sunday.  Donations of new socks and toiletries are also greatly appreciated and can be deposited in the collection bins located in the gathering area.
